Hints & Tips:
5. Transport
Your chosen mode of transport should be decided upon and booked as soon as the wedding date has been finalised. This will allow you to have the choice you want, be it a horse-drawn carriage, or a New York taxi cab!
The number of vehicles needed depends on the number of guests who have to be transported, and the distance to the church. Discuss this with your transport firm, as they will know from experience what the best options are.
If you are having a car, then the colour should be considered, and how it will tone with your dress and flowers, and also the groom's outfit.
The Bride’s mother should travel with the Bridesmaids in the first car, and the Bride and her father follow in the second.
After the ceremony, the Bride and Groom take the first car to the reception, followed by the Bride’s parents and attendants.
The Best Man should ensure that all guests have transport to the reception. It may be a good idea to arrange a coach for the guests, if the reception is being held at a venue several miles from the church.
